Lower Bounce-rate
Protect Domain Reputation

Unlike others, you won't be charged for unknown results.

We spot catch-all mailboxes where others fail.

Use API, upload CSV or one-shot verification.
We trim spaces, convert domains to lowercase and punycode, and reject malformed addresses, like missing @ symbols or invalid TLDs and other frequent mistakes.
Our system compares domains against popular providers (like gmail.com and outlook.com) to spot and fix subtle errors.
We block throwaway emails
We check addresses against an always-updated disposable email list and flag suspicious domains, like newly registered or “temp mail” providers.
Our system looks up mail server (MX) records and tests connections to ensure the domain can accept messages.
We identify domains that accept any email address (even fake ones), so you can avoid risky sends and hard bounces.

What should I do with unknown or catch-all results?
Treat unknown and catch-all results as a separate segment. Depending on the campaign risk, you may suppress them, review them, or test them carefully instead of mixing them with clearly valid contacts.
Is there a free email verifier with no credit card required?
Yes. Email Awesome's free plan requires no credit card and includes 1,000 verifications per month, so you can upload a list or check a single address before committing to a paid plan. Before creating an account anywhere, check the signup flow first: some tools label a plan as free but still require card details to activate it.
What is an acceptable email bounce rate?
Keep hard bounce rate below 2%. In 2026, that threshold carries regulatory weight: Gmail permanently rejects senders above 2% as of November 2025, and Microsoft enforces the same limit since May 2025. Best-practice target is below 1%, achieved through pre-send email verification on any list older than 90 days.
What does "Unknown" mean in email verification results?
Unknown means the mail server didn't return a definitive response — it neither confirmed nor rejected the mailbox. This typically occurs when servers use greylisting, rate limiting, or anti-probing measures. The address cannot be confirmed as deliverable. EmailAwesome does not charge for Unknown results — only conclusive verifications count toward your plan.
Does email verification guarantee 100% deliverability?
No tool can guarantee 100% deliverability. Verification significantly reduces bounce risk by removing invalid, disposable, and high-risk addresses before you send. Catch-all domains remain a limitation — their servers accept any address, making conclusive confirmation impossible. Other factors, including sender reputation, authentication, and content, also influence whether emails reach the inbox.
How often should I verify my email list?
Verify before every campaign send, especially if the list includes third-party data from Apollo or ZoomInfo. B2B email data decays at 20–30% annually, meaning a list verified six months ago may already contain a significant percentage of invalid addresses. Any list inactive for 90 or more days should be fully re-verified before reactivation.
Why can't I just use Excel to clean my email list?
Spreadsheet software can only perform basic text formatting checks (like looking for spaces or missing "@" symbols). Excel cannot connect to external mail servers to verify if a user's inbox is active, full, or disabled. You need an active network tool to prevent hard bounces.
Is it secure to upload my customer data to a bulk validator?
Yes, provided you use an enterprise-grade platform like EmailAwesome. Data is processed in memory, results are securely encrypted, and the original CSV files are automatically purged from the servers shortly after the cleaning process is complete to ensure strict data privacy compliance.
What are the new Google and Yahoo email sender requirements?
Implemented in 2024, these requirements mandate that bulk senders authenticate their emails (using SPF, DKIM, and DMARC), maintain a user-reported spam rate below 0.3%, and implement a one-click unsubscribe mechanism.
Is EmailAwesome compliant with data privacy regulations?
Yes. As a professional service, we prioritize data integrity. All lists processed through our email verifier are encrypted and handled through a secure pipeline. We do not store your data longer than necessary for the verification process, ensuring compliance with global privacy standards.
